What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Print Operator position at Bernick's?

The large/small format print operator is crucial in ensuring our printed materials meet the highest standards of quality and precision.
Responsibilities:
- Operate printer fleet to produce high-quality prints on various substrates.
- Set up and calibrate the printers according to job specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on printing equipment.
- Inspect printed materials for defects and ensure consistency with color, quality and spelling.
- Perform a variety of finishing applications, such as hand cutting, grommets, adhesive install, lamination, etc.
- Manage material orders, invoices and cost comparisons.
- Build strong relationships with internal partners and vendors.
- Anticipate and recognize opportunities for workflow efficiency and cost savings.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a print operator or similar role in a printing environment.
- Strong understanding of UV printing technology and techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Must be able to read and comprehend written and oral instructions including safety rules, operating procedures, batch receipts, and material identification.
- Able to walk and stand for long periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs
HOURS: Full-time (40 hours per week)
- 8:00AM-4:30PM, Monday-Friday

Base Compensation:
$20-$22/hr.
