What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse/Forklift Operator position at Bernie Little Distributors/Budweiser?
The Warehouse Operator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse. Warehouse Operators will learn the procedures of building pallets, loading pallets of beer and kegs according to routes in a timely manner. They will ensure the Warehouse is kept clean and all products are rotated properly.
Work Schedule: Sunday, 9:00 am until done; Monday - Thursday, 3:00 pm until done
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift certified
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Perform forklift/walkie rider daily inspection
- Wipe down equipment used and complete a daily checklist to turn in to the supervisor
- Stock the pick zones while verifying proper rotation of product on a daily basis
- Build and weigh orders to ensure the weight is correct, inspect the proper ID stops on each order, wrap and stage
- Remove packaged and draught beer returned on route trucks and place product in proper location
- Load assigned trucks for next day deliveries
- Load draught routes accurately
- Assist with truck stripping when needed
- Use company equipment in a safe manner
- Operate industrial forklift/walkie rider safely while performing job duties
- Change forklift battery when needed
- Use wrap machines in a safe and proper manner
- Complete tasks with minimal supervision
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
- Able to bend, squat and stand repetitively
- Able to use a ride-on jack
- Able to drive a forklift
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
