We are Bernina of America, a recognized and respected leader in our industry for over 100 years. We have a great opportunity for a skilled B2B credit and collections specialist to join our team. This is a full time, career oriented role working onsite at our Aurora, IL headquarters.
The Credit Associate is the main contact for credit and collection information with our valued dealership customers. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: collection calls, respond to customer correspondence, review and approve orders, problem solving issues including research and reconciliation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Encourages and builds customer relationships through exceptional customer service and response time.
- Make and receive calls in a call center environment with primary focus on outbound calls.
- Inbound calls regarding, statements, reminder notices, disputes, credits, invoices, status of new applications.
- Outbound collection calls, same as above, initiating payment plans, follow up on payment plans, discrepancies, reconciliation and research.
- Respond to customer correspondence phone, e-mail and fax within 24hrs.
- Issue and follow up on reminder notices.
- Pocess new account requests.
- Note payments received.
- Review 15-day aging report on a bi-monthly basis.
- Order review and release on an hourly basis.
- Review of held orders.
- Maintains a professional demeanor. Adhere to, support and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must have 2 years collection experience within a distribution environment.
- Associate Degree or equivalent experience.
- Effective problem solving and research skills.
- Relationship building skills.
- Success in a customer service/negotiation environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications.
- Self-motivated, team oriented.
- Demonstrates accuracy in work produced
- Strong oral and written communication skills
