What are the responsibilities and job description for the Healthcare Specialist position at Bernstein?
We are searching for a Healthcare Sales Specialist to join Bernstein’s Institutional Sales team in New York. The ideal candidate will combine healthcare industry expertise with strong analytical and communication skills to maximize the impact of Bernstein’s world-class healthcare research. As a Sales Specialist, you will
-Synthesize investor sentiment, positioning, Bernstein research calls, sector newsflow and events to communicate with clients and internal stakeholders
-Frame research and identify opportutnies for the Bernstein team to add value to investors
-Work closely with research teams to stay current on controversies and emerging trends across the healthcare space - and share these insights and perspectives with institutional investors and the generalist sales team
-Liase with internal sales and trading teams in response to news, corporate action, and company reporting
-Work with Investor Access Team to develop and organize relevant marketing opportunities and events
Qualifications
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency for presenting and debating a point under pressure.
-Intellectual curiosity and passion for healthcare investing
-Significant expertise in healthcare financial markets
-Deep understanding of global equity markets, company financials, asset allocation and strategy
-Outstanding interpresonal and relationship building skills and client service orientation
-Bacehlors degree in finance, economics or similar. Prefer graduate degree in finance, health sciences or related field
