We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our team. As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing mechanical construction projects from start to finish. You must have a strong background in Project Management, with solid familiarity with commercial mechanical and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee mechanical projects from start to finish
- Ensure projects are completed within budget, on time, and to the highest quality standards
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
- Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets using project management software
- Review and approve RFI's and submittals
- Buy-out project in a way that ensures a quality installation while staying at or below budget
- Obtain and analyze proposals from multiple vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors; negotiate costs, manage contracts, oversee and coordinate work of subcontractors
- Manage all change orders including documentation, cost estimates, negotiations, and execution
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing systems
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure work is progressing according to plan
- Manage project documentation and ensure accurate record-keeping
- Provide regular project status updates to senior management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or 10 years of trade experience
- 5 years of experience in MEP Project Management.
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
