We are seeking a qualified School Bus Driver to transport and assist students and other school district passengers to and from school, educational or sporting events, community-based programs and other special activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport and assist students and other school district passengers
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle
- Use established routes and designated bus stops
- Instruct passenger riders regarding safety
- Drive defensively under varying traffic conditions and inclement weather
Requirements:
- Demonstrate knowledge of rules and regulations promulgated by local, state, and federal agencies
- Deal with exuberant behavior characteristics of youthful riders
- Administer disciplinary procedures in keeping with district policies
- Be alert and exercise good judgment concerning emergencies and day-to-day operations
- Keep accurate records and reports as required
Working Conditions:
The School Bus Driver is responsible for performing various tasks that require varying degrees of lifting, pulling, bending and carrying of heavy objects.
