Job Description

• Provide direct mental health services, including:
• Individual and group therapy
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy interventions
• Mindfulness and coping skills training
• Problem-solving support for behavioral concerns
• Collaborate with school personnel, families, and external agencies to:
• Develop and implement intervention strategies
• Support academic and behavioral progress
• Facilitate communication between school and community resources
• Mental Health and Educational Support:
• Prepare for and participate in IEP/IFSP and evaluation/re-evaluation processes
• Monitor and track mental health services
• Provide Tier II & Tier III support interventions
• Assist with crisis response and support
• Professional Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate and timely records
• Comply with Medicaid billing procedures
• Prepare professional development materials
• Monitor mental health trends and best practices
• Participate in school and district meetings and activities
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Ancillary/Health Services.

• Master's Degree in Social Work or Mental Health
• Valid Michigan Social Work License
• Full approval as a school social worker or eligible for approval
• 3-5 years of mental health work-related experience preferred
