SECRETARY – AUTISM PROGRAMS

Start Date: Immediate Opening
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Secretarial experience required
- Proficient in word processing, including basic desktop publishing, databases and spreadsheet applications
- Ability to deal with the public tactfully and courteously and to work harmoniously with other employees
Performance Responsibilities:
- Provide secretarial support to the Supervisor of Autism Programs
- Manage AESOP Substitute System for employee absences for LEC and Autism Program
- Maintain student information system including but not limited to: New student enrollment, student schedules, student attendance, report cards, etc
- Maintain student records and all related matters including release of information materials
- Maintain the hot lunch
- Generate and distribute IEP notices
- Maintain records of classroom budgets and activity accounts and process purchase orders
- Schedule meetings and conferences for Supervisor
- Utilize temporary first aid procedures and complete health reports
- Assist with distribution of prescribed student medications and records
- Coordinate program newsletters
- Assist staff with clerical duties
- Coordinate and send release of information materials
- Serve as back up for Principal’s secretary
Reports to: Supervisor of Autism Programs
Terms of Employment: Twelve-month position, seven and one-half hour day. Wage and fringe benefits as established by the Board of Education
