QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field from an accredited college or university preferred;
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in the special events or meeting planning industry, working with meeting planners, sports teams, concerts, and trade/consumer shows preferred;
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be taken into consideration;
- Computer experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, CAD, room scheduling, and room layout software programs is preferred;
- The ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays is required.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Probationary/Term Contract: 250 days
SALARY:
$50,763 BA-2
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2022-2023
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Utilize the EMS scheduling software to schedule events and enter details into the master calendar and use AutoCAD and room layout software to provide clear, accurate, and timely directives to other departments for room setups.
- Provide rental information to prospective district and public users. Prepare budgets and contracts for events.
- Responsible for the coordination of multiple Berry Center events including generating event staffing needs and distribution of event information.
- Provide timely and accurate event billing information for invoicing.
- Responsible for serving as liaison to district staff and outside users.
- Responsible for providing quality customer service to the general public, district staff, promoters, and other clients.
- Conduct or attend facility event production meetings/planning sessions and ensure that staffing and equipment needs for events are met.
- Work with other departments to maintain customer service standards sufficient to ensure a positive and professional image and generate repeat business.
- Work some nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Performs walkthroughs of event space prior to events to check for the accuracy of setup.
- Serve as MOD (Manager on Duty) as required.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Mobility and stamina to move about the grounds for several hours.
- Assist in other projects as assigned.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
