The Automation Technician III is responsible for writing programs and developing control systems. This position supports the installation, debugging and troubleshooting new and existing automation equipment, to include Robotics, feeding and assembly systems. Will develop and maintain vision training program, and establish vision testing standards.

Essential Jobs and Responsibilities
- Ability to work with various manufacturers of PLC, HMI, AC and DC motor controls, and motion controls
- Knowledge of industrial communication such as Control Net, DeviceNet, Ethernet
- Industrial electricity distribution experience
- Capable of learning programming and interfacing industrial robotics
- Capable of learning programming vision inspection systems for high speed manufacturing process
Contribution to Quality, Safety and GMP
- Conducts required safety reviews of equipment and processes prior to project start-up
- Support the accomplishment of your work groups through the quality, timeliness and professionalism of your attitude
- Supply accurate and timely data as required by performance tracking and reporting
- Maintain a work environment which will contribute to the assurance of safety and GMP compliance
- Adhere to established procedures, perform self-checking and pay attention to detail in the performance of your work
- Notify management in a timely manner of any problems with procedural compliance
- Provide electrical/mechanical installation support and technical expertise during new project launches
- Other duties and projects as assigned by manager

- Strong organizational skills and communication skills
Education and Experience
- Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Equivalent Education such as military training, OR
- 5 Years experience in industrial environment programming and debugging equipment.
Work Environment
Food Safety and GMP manufacturing environment.
Regularly required to walk, lift and carry materials <35 pounds through plant in order to function in the job.
