Key Responsibilities:
- Safeguard the workplace through adherence to OSHA and Hazardous Materials regulations.
- Properly maintain equipment and ensure cleanliness within the warehouse area.
- Loading/unloading trailers, managing inventory flow, and shipping customer orders efficiently.
- Inspect and verify incoming materials, supplies, and finished goods for quality assurance.
- Carry out various tasks using barcode scanners or computer systems for inventory management.
- Monitor FIFO inventory transactions to prevent expired or obsolete stock.
- Prepare shipping documents accurately and effectively.
- Analyze and resolve any issues with materials, inventory discrepancies, freight damage, contamination, packaging, or handling problems.
- Communicate variances in receiving, material moves to/from production, and shipping transactions.
- Prevent damaged product shipment and raw materials acceptance without damage.
- Participate in regular cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Stay informed about company policies, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, material specifications, and job safety analysis.
- Engage in meetings and training sessions as necessary.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma is required.
- Previous experience in manufacturing can be beneficial.
- Forklift certification is highly valued.
