Responsibilities
PURPOSE:
Berry Global is committed to ending plastic waste. We continually seek ways to improve product recyclability and increase offerings with recycled content. We also seek to be good stewards to the earth and manage materials in a responsible way. As a Resin Handler in our Production Department, you will play a key role in this mission here at the Sioux Falls site.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow and support all Company safety, GMP and HACCP policies
- Efficiently manage the supply of resin
- Maintain railcar area
- Correctly calculate and maintain resin blends for production lines
- Assist Operators when time permits
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 3 to 6 months experience as a Production Packer and/or 3 to 6 months working in a related manufacturing field
- Ability to use computers and program Maguire blenders
- Ability to operator a forklift, pallet jack and use hand tools
- Ability to read instructions, checklists, correspondence, procedural manuals and memos
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, sing whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ration and percent
- Ability to safely work around moving machinery or electricity
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds unassisted, and push/pull up to 100 pounds
- Ability to reach, climb, kneel, crouch, bend or twist up to 66% of the work shift
