Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Front Office Coordinator to join our Hearing Healthcare team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our front office, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining effective communication between patients and staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hearing healthcare or medical office setting.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in/check-out process efficiently.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring optimal use of the office calendar.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including health information management and documentation of visits, sending out appointment reminder cards, follow-up reminder calls, patient's birthday cards, etc..
- Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information regarding services offered.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and all meds being taken.
- Assist with billing inquiries and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding accounts.
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals to ensure seamless patient flow and communication.
- Uphold confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain some housekeeping duties.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist would be beneficial.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and handwritten, to interact positively with patients and staff.
- Proficient in using office software and systems relevant to hearing healthcare practices.
- Ability to work in a somewhat fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
