Field Manager – Underground Construction
Job Summary
Field Managers work directly with Division Managers and internal staff to manage, communicate, and coordinate activities of construction workers and job sites. You will be responsible for implementing projects and overseeing their progress from start to finish in a timely and cost-effective manner. Your key responsibilities will include planning, organization, implementation, and scheduling of the projects to meet customer and Division requirements.
General Accountabilities
- Assign, manage, coordinate, supervise and schedule the activities of construction workers, laborers, and/or 3rd parties based on material and worker requirements of specific jobs.
- Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities.
- Examine, inspect and report work progress, equipment, and construction of job sites to ensure safety, contract, and reporting specifications are being met.
- Manage time to ensure required tasks are getting completed to enable proper documentation and hand-off of project.
- Responsible for monitoring, quality assurance, and training of field employees.
- Read, understand, and communicate contract specifications (construction prints or splicing documents) to determine construction requirements and plan procedures.
- Ensure Construction phases and/or daily construction goals are met.
- Estimate material and worker requirements to complete jobs.
- Order or requisition and manage the receipt and disposition of materials or supplies.
- Communicate with managerial personnel, other departments, and/or contractors to review changes, resolve problems, and coordinate activities.
- Locate, measure, and mark site locations, placement of structures, and equipment, using appropriate measuring and marking equipment.
- Accurately and timely record information such as personnel, production, or operational data on specified forms or reports.
- Gather, review and provide all final information, redlines and measurements for billing.

Job Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 2-3 years of related experience
- Must be able to read prints and/or splicing documents
- Understands redlines and attention to detail
- Ability to use a computer or iPad
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Class A CDL is a plus
