Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing, filing, and managing veterans' disability claims and appeals.
- Draft and review correspondence, forms, and mailings.
- Maintain and organize client files and case management systems.
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, and government agencies.
- Schedule appointments, hearings, and meetings.
- Provide general administrative support to the legal team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Must have strong multi-tasking skills, be up-beat, friendly and possess a professional disposition, and excellent phone etiquette.
- Must be self-motivated, organized, tenacious, unafraid of hard work and able to work without constant supervision.
- Military member, veteran, spouse, dependent, or relative preferred.
- A tip of the spear mindset – capacity to relentlessly advance justice for the client.
- Tech savvy – must be able to work within various software programs, quick learner, ability to record files and data in document management software.
