Overview
BerryDunn is seeking a Manager of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (AP/AR). This is a critical role for a financial professional to overseeing the Firms financial transactions and cash flow management. You will supervise a team of accounting specialists, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, coordinating with vendors and clients, and maintaining precise financial records. The manager will develop efficient processes to optimize cash collection, resolve financial discrepancies, monitor account aging reports, and implement robust systems that ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
You Will
- Oversee and manage both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, ensuring efficient operations and accurate financial transactions while fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Lead collection efforts, implementing strategies to reduce outstanding receivables and improve cash flow.
- Monitor and analyze aging reports for work in process and accounts receivable, identifying trends and recommending actions to improve financial performance.
- Develop and implement processes to streamline AP/AR operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies, improve interdepartmental communication, and enhance overall financial efficiency.
- Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management, providing insights on AP/AR performance, cash flow, and progress towards centralized billing.
- Train and mentor AP/AR staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to support the transition to centralized billing and maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, offering constructive feedback and identifying opportunities for professional development and training.
- Facilitate team meetings to discuss goals, address challenges, and share updates on AP/AR processes, promoting open communication and teamwork.
You Have
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices, along with proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements and successfully managing financial operations, preferably in a centralized billing environment.
Competencies (Skills & Abilities)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions to enhance cash flow and operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members, vendors, and clients to resolve issues and build positive relationships.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, along with advanced Excel skills, to streamline processes, generate reports, and support data-driven decision-making.
Compensation Details
The base salary range targeted for this role is $100,000 - $120,000. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications in excess of the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
