Position Description
POSITION TITLE: Special Education Bus aide
FLSA: Non-Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Status
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be team oriented.
REPORT TO: Transportation Supervisor and Special Education Supervisor
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 178 day contract.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise students with special needs on the handicapped bus route on both morning and afternoon routes.
- Operate wheel chair lift and assist student's with a variety of disabilities.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

Attend meetings as requested by supervisors or district administration.

Be respectful and courteous to parents, students and staff.

Dress and grooming should be appropriate.

Complete all required training.

Perform other duties as assigned.
