Pay is commensurate with experience within a range of $18.75 - $21.50 per hour. Part time, non-exempt, non-benefits eligible.

Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of the part-time Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS)will be to provide a range of community-based services specified youth and their families. Specific duties include but not limited to:
- providing services as a member of a pool of part-time and full-time BHS to be activated on an as-needed basis for a variety of community-based services.
- assisting in developing and providing structured activities.
- maintaining a safe and productive environment during the time spent in attendance with the child/adolescent.
- providing transportation to and from groups, various activities or appointments as indicated by the treatment plan or as instructed by the QMHP, which may include driving CFS van.
- providing services in a variety of settings including, but not limited to, the child/adolescent's home, the school, CMHC or another community setting.
- delivering reimbursable hours of service compliant with established standards.
working no more than 19 hours per week (on average) during the calendar year (not guaranteed) which may include a minimum of 5 hours on a Saturday and /or Sunday, along with weekday hours between 4pm and 10pm.
regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as circumstances warrant.
Qualifications: The Behavioral Health Specialist position requires but not limited to:
- 21years old; or a minimum of 19 years old and must be at least 3 years older that the children they are providing services for. Prefer some college education in social work, or related field, but not mandatory. Must have a High School diploma or GED.
- ability to pass required security background checks.
- reliable transportation, automobile insurance, and a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
- experience in or knowledge of issues in working with severely emotionally disturbed youth and families is preferred.
- prior computer experience and basic computer literacy.
- flexibility in assigned working hours.
- a commitment to interdisciplinary and community mental health center approaches; and
- an energetic and positive approach to the rapidly evolving changes and challenges of a complex workplace.
Salary : $19 - $22
