Pay is commensurate with experience within a range of $18.75 - $21.00 per hour. Full time, non-exempt, benefits eligible. Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of the Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist will be to provide financial support activity related to client admissions.
Specific duties include(but not limited to):
- Verifying insurance benefits for those seeking services at the Center
- Entering data into the EHR as assigned
- Providing back-up and assistance related to third party billing as assigned
- Submitting client claims to third party payer as assigned by Supervisor
- Processing third party payment denials
- Meeting with clients regarding their account balance and payment plan development compliance
- Running authorization reports daily;
- Advising clinical staff and Accounts Receivable staff of services secured and any applicable authorization numbers;
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job
Qualifications: The Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialist position requires (but not limited to):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Post-high school training in healthcare-related clerical or billing procedures
- Prior computer experience and basic computer fluency
- Knowledge of medical mental health billing practices;
- Knowledge of billing codes and their applications.
- Flexibility in assigned working hours
- Accuracy with ten key function
- An energetic and positive approach to the rapidly evolving changes and challenges of a complex work place
Salary : $19 - $21
