The Mobile Crisis Clinician will be willing to strongly advocate for the best interests of those receiving services and have a strong passion for Public Service. This role requires ability to work with persons with severe and persistent mental illness, serious emotional disturbance, and/or substance abuse issues, especially those experiencing a psychiatric crisis; ability to work independently and as a member of a crisis services team; possess demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to react effectively in a variety of human service situations.
This position requires a Master’s in a human Services field with State of Kansas licensing as a Social Worker (LMSW, LSCSW), Psychologist (LMLP or LCP), or Professional Counselor (LPC, LCPC). Additional LMAC or LCAC licensing is encouraged and not required. Applicants who meet full Kansas licensure requirements may be considered if Kansas licensure is obtained by time of an employment offer and licensure is pending confirmation at the time of employment.
A qualified candidate for the role will have ability to triage, multi-task, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment; excellent organizational and clinical skills; the ability to be responsible and work independently and in tandem with others; positive interpersonal skills with ability to promote and maintain a high performing work environment with positive team dynamic; and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. A well-equipped candidate will have prior experience providing behavioral health crisis services or mobile crisis response services. A well-equipped candidate would have interest in or awareness of emerging best and evidenced based practices being established across the country by mobile and/or alternative response to behavioral health crises.
