Description
The Inventory Tracker will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, overseeing product movement, and ensuring timely replacement of materials to support the production process in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements
The inventory tracker will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work in progress components, and finished product.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconciliations.
- Track movement of product within production buildings.
- Store inventory correctly, and label inventory appropriately to avoid inventory misplacement or damage.
- Work alongside purchasing to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials to prevent production delays.
- Coordinate with production staff to ensure that necessary materials are available for production needs.
- Update inventory management software with accurate stock levels.
- Report any damaged materials and coordinate to replace or dispose of them.
- Communicate between all divisions and locations to resolve inventory questions or problems.
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Required Education, Training or Experience
- Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook experience is required for this position.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with all staff members is essential in this role.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read measurement tools.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and move materials up to or exceeding 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand or walk an entire shift (can be 8-10 hours)
Work Environment
Employees must be able to cope with Iowa climates; endure heat and cold conditions in the building. Fast paced workloads and loud noise levels are normal. Paint fumes and exposure to chemicals associated may be present. Personal Protective Equipment as required by OSHA will be provided by the Company.
