StyleHaul is seeking a staff accountant to work directly with the AP manager and Controller to handle all accounts payable processes, ledgers, and reports.
Responsibilities:
- Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries.
- Pay vendors and follow company protocol by verifying federal ID numbers, scheduling/preparing checks, resolving issues involving purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and payment discrepancies.
- Ensure credits are received for outstanding memos and issue stop-payments or purchase order amendments as needed
- Pay employees when expense reports and requests for advances are submitted, along with preparing checks.
- Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
- Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
- Maintain historical records by requesting and filing documents.
- Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Accomplish the accounting department and organization's mission by completing related tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- GAAP/IFRS Accounting
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Attention to detail and thoroughness
- Highly organized
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and small team environment
- Familiarity with SAP software and/or QuickBooks is desirable
