We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department.

Job Summary

As the Automotive Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the service department, ensuring the highest level of customer service, efficiency, and productivity. You will lead a team of technicians and service advisors to achieve performance goals while maintaining a customer-centric approach and promoting a culture of teamwork and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • **Team Leadership:** Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of technicians and service advisors to deliver exceptional service and meet departmental goals.
  • **Customer Service:** Ensure all customers receive outstanding service, addressing concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • **Operations Management:** Oversee the daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, workflow, and inventory management to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • **Financial Oversight:** Monitor and manage the service department’s budget, ensuring profitability while controlling costs and improving service efficiency.
  • **Performance Metrics:** Analyze KPIs and service performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to achieve departmental goals.
  • **Training and Development:** Facilitate ongoing training and development programs for staff regarding new technologies, equipment, and customer service best practices.
  • **Quality Control:** Ensure adherence to safety standards and repair quality to maintain customer trust and satisfaction.
  • **Relationship Building:** Develop strong relationships with customers and vendors, driving customer retention and repeat business.
  • **Reporting:** Prepare and present regular performance reports and forecasts to upper management, highlighting successes and areas needing attention.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Automotive Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive service management or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair and service management principles.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales and performance goals.
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in using automotive service management software and tools.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
