Customer Service Representative

Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Reports To: Operations Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Summary
Responsible for providing effective customer service for all Bertolotti Disposal customers by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of company services. Interact with other internal departments to achieve balance of capacity while achieving high service levels.
Essential Duties
· Manage customer accounts;
· Serve as customer's first line of communication and refer customers to the appropriate department if and when necessary;
· Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken;
· Communicate with customers by telephone or in person to provide information regarding services, to take orders, change service, cancel accounts, or to obtain details of complaints;
· Resolve customers' service complaints
· Provide timely and accurate information to customer inquiries regarding status and product knowledge requests;
· Provide timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns;
· Responsible for managing electronic transmissions as required by customers;
· Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner, which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company and customer requirements; and
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Measurement of Success
· Provide timely response to all customer requests;
· Provide timely and excellent customer support by phone and e-mail;
· Maintain an exceptional record of punctuality and attendance;
· Customers are satisfied and all problems and complaints are dealt with in a timely, professional manner.

Education and Experience
· High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
· Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in a high volume environment.
Reasoning Ability
· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists;
· Ability to negotiate and deal with a variety of transportation, personnel and customer service situations;
· Ability to read, analyze and speak English;
· Ability to communicate, respond to questions and give directions in a professional and efficient manner to customers, managers and other employees;
· Ability to read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, map or schedule format;
· Ability to read, analyze and write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals as well as maintain required logs; and
· Ability to plan and manage a daily schedule, as well as organize assignments in an efficient and timely manner.
