Bertram Communications LLC is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to join our expanding team as a Senior Software Engineer – Networking. We’re looking for a self-driven, highly organized individual with a passion for technology and a strong background in networking. This is a great chance to play a key role in innovative projects within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. This role will start working our corporate office located at 300 Industrial Drive Random Lake, WI and move this summer to our new corporate office located at 605 N 8th St Sheboygan, WI.
Responsibilities:
● Design, develop, maintain and support network monitoring and management solutions
● Collaborate in Agile development processes
● Provide technical support and guidance on network software configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
● Document designs, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and operational efficiency
● Install, configure, and deploy network software
● Conduct initial testing and validation of network connectivity and functionality of software
● Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of software
Qualifications:
● Minimum 5 years of experience with software engineering
● Minimum 2 years of experience with network engineering
● Expertize with languages like C, C , Rust, Go
● Knowledge of PHP is a plus
● Strong understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IPv4/IPv6, BPP, OSPF, routing, switching, and sub-netting
● Experience with bandwidth management and control software.
● Experience with network monitoring tools to identify and address performance issues
● Familiar with internet services (subscriber provisioning, DNS, DHCP, NTP)
● Strong understanding with Linux in production environment
● Experience with bash scripting and automation
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers and internal teams
● Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $115,500.00 - $125,326.00 per year
