What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Technician- CAD Department position at Bertram Dental Lab?
Start a new long-term career. All training will be done in house. 1st shift position. As a RPD (removable partial denture) CAD technician you will be working in the advancing field of dental technology. You will be working as part of a fast-paced detail-oriented team. You will work within a CAD Department of CAD technicians (10-15 team members) that understand their final product helps and affects people’s day to day life. Our varying positions work together in various departments to help repair, design, create, and maintain the most consistent partial frameworks available.
Department Duties
- Team members work on a computer to digitally CAD design prosthetics to be metal 3D printed in lab from a digital model scan.
- Quality checking requests, designs, and attention to detail will be highly important.
- Reporting to your department supervisor, you will learn, grow, and gain experience. Compensation to match experience, attitude, and effort.
Department Details
- 5-day work week (Monday thru Friday, team production ending time)
- Hours- Starting Time: 7:00am-until the work is done (generally between 3:30 pm/4:30 pm)

Skills required
- Must be proficient with computers. Windows experience preferred. (Gamers tend to often do well with CAD work)
- Mouse dexterity and use of both hands at the same time while CAD designing and post-processing.
- Strong manual dexterity for post processing tasks.
- CAD-specific software (3shape) experience is a plus, but not required.
- Must have an eye for detail and the ability to follow directions.
- Previous dental or jewelry hands-on experience is a plus but not required. We will train the right candidate.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- This position requires a combination of mostly seated and some standing tasks.
- Experience with and/or interest in working with 3D printing and milling machines, but not required.
- Positive attitude, punctual and dependable.
