HOUSEKEEPING AIDE, Springville, NY
Part Time. Days / Evenings Flex. Work schedule requires weekend and holiday rotations.
Compensation. $15.60 - $16.40 per hour based on experience. Shift differential of $.80 may apply.
Our Housekeepers are responsible for upkeep of all facilities on campus including the Hospital, Nursing Home and Medical Arts Building. We perform general cleaning, sanitizing and housekeeping duties protecting the health and safety of the patients, visitors, and staff.
DUTIES :
Cleans and disinfects according to ISO Class 8 and ISO Class 8 Cleanroom, maintains documentation of cleaning and disinfection. Will be required to take and pass ISO Class 8 Anteroom and ISO Class 7 Cleanroom Sanitation Assessment.
Utilizes established infection control and standard precaution techniques in the performance of all duties; Cleans surfaces and fixtures throughout the facility according to established policies and procedures.
Collects medical waste. Prepares cleaning equipment for isolation.
Maintains closets, carts, linen, trash, recyclables, and medical waste storage areas, and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly condition. Damp dusts, washes walls and doors.
Responsible collection of soiled linen and laundry, and distributing clean iteams.
Maintains stock levels for each department
Performs second round check of above duties before leaving for the day to ensure cleanliness and adequate levels are being met.
May operate floor buffer and carpet extractor.
Per Diem Only : Work a minimum of 3 shifts per month, and pick up additional shifts when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS -
HS / GED is required
Previous history of stable employment
Previous commercial cleaning experience strongly preferred
Fingerprint background check required prior to hire
Physical requirements of the role : stand, climb, walk, sit, use hands to manipulate, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. Must utilize step ladder and / or balance. Must occasionally lift 25-50 pounds and / or push / pull up to 150-250 pounds.
