Skilled Maintenance Worker, Springville, NY
Full Time. Days / Evenings Flex. On-Call as needed. Some weekends and holidays are required.
Compensation $22.66- $24.04 per hour with overtime pay. Based on experience. Shift differentials apply : $.80 - $1.25.
As key member of our Maintenance team you’ll :
- Perform general maintenance of the Physical Plant for our Hospital and Nursing Home.
- You’ll utilize your knowledge of steam, electrical and plumbing on a daily basis to maintain proper functions of our medical campus.
- Operate and maintain boilers in service of clinical functions as well as heating systems.
- Perform electrical work / circuit troubleshooting. Performs electrical safety checks of hospital equipment (beds, appliances)
- Perform plumbing troubleshooting, opening pipes and drains, snaking drains as needed.
- Maintain and tests generators and emergency equipment.
- Assist in emergency situations ensuring uninterrupted patient care and access to all associates, patients, and visitors.
- Assist outside vendors / contractors as needed in handling materials for repair or installation s.
REQUIRES :
Will perform work inside and outdoors in any weather, squatting, bending, pushing, and pulling. Regularly lifts heavy weights up to 75 pounds. Prolonged standing, walking, and climbs ladders and scaffolding.
