The Product and Quality Analyst drives the problem resolution process within the scope in order to achieve the module/process targets at the BMW engineering department.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for Engineering Changes in agreement with the Center
- Lead and manage a technical team
- Coordinates and evaluates root cause analysis of issues reported by plant sensors
- Designs and releases product changes
- Coordinates design related rework.
- Responsible for the implementation of all design-related containments.
- Performs evaluation of proposed design changes, e.g. line trials.
- Takes leadership to steer all involved process partners to ensure effective and efficient solutions.
- Coordinates upcoming design changes and containments with launch and change department, logistics and supplier.
- Prepares weekly reports to the Product and Quality Specialist.
- Complies with processes and procedures of the Plant Management System.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering or min. three (3) years” of professional quality process/components experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Very strong problem solving skills in a cross-functional team environment
- Understands tolerance concepts and statistical process control.
- Knowledge of statistical methods and tools.
- Problem Solving methods using Fishbone Diagrams, 5-Whys, 8D's, etc. (2-3 years)
- Good communication, coordination and time management skills.
- Knowledge of the manufacturing processes and the respective standards.
- Interpersonal skills and abilities
- Sound analytical and organizational skills, structured working approach.
- Working knowledge of MS Office software with advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
