Responsibilities
Role Summary:Perform all levels of vehicle repairs from basic to complex. Mechanical and safety inspections, diagnosis and repairs of vehicle systems. This will include specific vehicle repairs, U.S. manufactured vehicle repairs and general maintenance repairs on heavy duty equipment. Work schedule and requests are coordinated by the Fleet Supervisor.
Essential Job Functions:•Perform and document general maintenance and repairs on company owned maintenance vehicles such as pickup trucks / maintenance trucks / tractors / water trucks / etc. This includes all general maintenance following prescribed maintenance schedules•Perform light to medium level repairs on vehicles and small engines as necessary•Perform and document vehicle general maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles. This includes all general maintenance following prescribed maintenance schedules•Perform light to medium level repairs on vehicles as necessary•Support APG Technical Coordination Department when necessary in working with test teams for vehicle repairs on test vehicles•Other miscellaneous tasks, as assigned

Qualifications
Required:•High school graduate or equivalent (GED) required•Diploma from an automotive trade school or college•Current ASE Master Certifications
•3 -5 years’ experience in vehicle repair / component function•3 - 5 years German OEM mechanical experience
•Ability to perform diagnostic read outs utilizing development software and tools•Heavy Equipment repair experience desired for working on tractors, large trucks, fork lifts, etc.Internal•Ability to apply logical thinking and decision making based on procedures and guidelines supplied in the various task assignments•Flexibility to perform numerous tasks as requested•Experience in Windows based programs (Word; Excel; Access; Power Point; etc.)
Physical Requirements:•Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds•Job requires sitting, standing, and bending throughout the course of a workday•Must be flexible and available to work overtime and odd hours including Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays•Work may be done under the summer months in Arizona weather
Work Flexibility:•Work schedule based on business requirements (minimum 40 hours/week) including occasional Saturday and occasional overtime. Core work hours are 7am – 4pm•Often driving a motor vehicle, including performance class and prototypes, which may require completion of special training.
