Responsibilities
Job Title : Shift Lead Process Engineer - SQE Project Team
Location : Fully remote, traveling to North American Suppliers & Toolmakers (US, Canada)
Job Summary
Temporary position - 6 - 12 months.
As a key part of the Project Team, the project focus and goal is to improve the consistency and stability of parts supply from OEM parts suppliers, and reduce or eliminate disruptions in the customer OEM operation’s daily production.
Reports to the team Supplier Quality Project Manager.
Will require frequent travel across the country and abroad - projected at 90%.
Job Description :
Supervising the processes, in collaboration with the Production personnel.
Supports and supervises production schedule, shift reporting and adherence to company policies, safety and health
Supports analysis of supplier production schedules and delivery date.
Escalate critical issues to next level management, if necessary.
Identifying and analyzing supplier weak points regarding the perception of their responsibility, driver role, reliability and transparency over the complete startup. Evaluation and support of their controlling measures.
Identify and analyze critical issues with our suppliers regarding the perception of their roles and responsibilities, ensuring reliability and transparency over the production. Evaluate and support of their controlling measures.
Technical / logistic support for capacity statements, scrapping and cost awareness.
Supports and evaluates supplier capacities and personnel instruction
Supporting and monitors tool relocation in case of capacity limitation or insolvencies.
Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical, Thermoplastic-Engineering or Thermoplastic Technician
Excellent knowledge of English spoken and written. German and or Spanish is beneficial.
Experience with injection molding (1-K, 4-K), painting of plastic parts, glass with (TPE / EPDM), IMD and IML injection, gas injection.
Experience as project leader
Good knowledge of Windows System
Strong attitudes to interpersonal relationships and teamwork
Availability of frequent travels across the country and abroad - projected at 90% travel.
