The Publicist will create publicity strategies and implement successful campaigns for a diverse list of titles. This role is responsible for leveraging traditional and digital media outlets, creating publicity materials, managing review copy mailings to media contacts, and overseeing national and local author tours. The Publicist will work independently on titles, as well as partner with senior staff members on major author campaigns.
Your profile:
The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years of publicity experience; experience in book publishing is highly preferred as is strong social media experience. Candidates should demonstrate a creative, innovative and resourceful approach to publicity and possess strong media relationships and knowledge of diverse media outlets. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be high-energy and passionate, possess exceptional writing and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability successfully manage multiple priorities.
