Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Transport an average of two tanker loads of refined fuels from the regional terminals to locations in and around Sabetha, KS and Humboldt, NE per day.
- Position is Monday – Friday with flexible hours and home every night.
- Loads and unloads fuel tanker complying with safety regulations.
- Operates vehicles and trucks in a safe manner and maintains required paperwork/logs per the applicable regulations.
- Responsible for upkeep and repairs for fuel trucks, equipment and tanks and reports any issues to management in a timely manner.
- Promotes teamwork and successfully communicates with various departments and ability to work individually as needed.
- Maintains and promotes safety awareness, follows safety policies, procedures, and required reporting.
- Presents a clean and professional appearance.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
- Current Class A Commercial Driver’s License with the following endorsements: Hazardous Materials, Tank Vehicle
- 1-2 years of experience related experience and/or training
- Fuel delivery experience is preferred
- Must maintain a satisfactory driving record and provide consent to company for review of driving records
- Must complete DOT physical and maintain current medical card
- Must pass required drug and alcohol screenings
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Commercial Driver’s License with a safe driving record (Class A with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements) required
PHYISCAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; smell; stand; walk; sit and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and regularly push or pull up to 200 pounds. The employee may frequently need to climb ladders (may range from 20’ to 180’) and stairs. This may include structural ladders as well as climbing into large vehicles, and/or trucks. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles including grain dust; outside weather conditions; wet and/or humid condition; extreme cold and extreme heat; toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places, risk of electrical shock and explosives. The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate to loud (although not believed to exceed the eight-hour threshold). Employee must understand and implement all related safety policies, procedures and programs for prevention and protection while performing job duties in various work environments.
