A much-awarded architecture and design firm is on the lookout for an HR Manager for their Austin office. The firm prioritize employee development, engagement, and a positive workplace experience. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources professional to join their team and play a pivotal role in managing and executing a wide range of HR functions. The role is a generalist position; overseeing the department, overseeing and executing the people strategy for the firm.
What you'll be doing
- Managing the recruitment function
- Overseeing the onboarding process, including pre-boarding communications, new hire tracking, equipment setup coordination, orientation scheduling, and system data entry.
- Collaborate on professional development programs, manage talent and performance management processes, coordinate annual reviews, and provide manager guidance and training.
- Design and implement employee engagement strategies, conduct surveys, oversee EDI and wellness initiatives, facilitate staff check-ins, advocate for employees, and manage retention and recognition programs.
- Manage compensation benchmarking, payroll tracking, benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee benefits inquiries.
- General HR Administration: Oversee data entry, HRIS management, policy development, and budget management.
Who you are
- You possess 10 years of experience in a Human Resources generalist position
- You have a strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices
- You are adept at building relationships with staff at all levels.
- You are comfortable presenting to executive-level leadership.
- You are agile and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in AEC or professional services is a plus.
- You are proficient in HR software and systems.

Salary : $100,000 - $115,000
