JOB SUMMARY
The Storeroom & Shipping Clerk will maintain the Storeroom and handle outgoing and incoming shipments for the Besser Boone plant. This position is responsible for accurate counts on outgoing and incoming shipments. The Storeroom & Shipping Clerk reports to the Machine Shop Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Receives Shipping Orders from Office Personal daily.
2. Receives supplies and repair parts and stores in correct manner in designated locations.
3. Checks outgoing shipments for Machine Shop, Foundry and Mold departments against shipping orders and tags or stencils for proper destination.
4. Prepares Parcel post and UPS orders for shipment.
5. Directs the Storeroom and Shipping helpers in the day to day routine.
6. Checks for and ships parts off the open shipments report without direction from his Supervisor
7. Must watch for defects during Shipping preparation and report to Supervisor
8. Performs other Duties as required.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Must have a thorough knowledge of repair parts, forms and equipment shipped and incoming
Supplies and parts.
Responsible for seeing that outgoing shipments are packed and crated properly and filled correctly.
Notifies Foreman of low stock on items of supplies purchased from outside suppliers.
Turns in the paperwork so Freight and trucks can be scheduled.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Experience: One year shop experience.
3. Skills: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair and maintenance. The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull and carry objects. The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs. Using hands and arms in handling, installing, forming, positioning, and moving materials or in manipulating things such as hand tools and hoist.
4. Requirements: Operator must work in a safe manner and must have a safe work record. Safety must be the first and foremost concern as these machines are capable of great bodily harm.
