Job Description: Best Brains Middletown is seeking passionate and experienced certified teachers in ELA and Math to teach our summer session. As a Summer Teacher, you will engage with well-designed lesson plans, deliver high-quality instruction, and support students in building strong public speaking, creative writing, and academic skills. You will work with students in a small group setting, offering personalized attention and fostering an environment that promotes academic growth and confidence.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lessons in ELA and Math, focusing on building students’ public speaking, creative writing, and academic skills.
- Work with students in small groups to provide personalized instruction tailored to their individual learning needs.
- Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Support students in developing communication skills through public speaking and creative writing activities.
- Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills through creative and interactive activities.
- Maintain classroom management to create a structured and productive learning environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure consistency and quality of instruction.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with teaching strategies and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Current certification in ELA and/or Math (K-8 or higher).
- Proven experience teaching or tutoring ELA and/or Math to students in a classroom or one-on-one setting.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Passion for helping students succeed academically.
- Ability to adapt instruction based on student needs.
- Familiarity with educational technologies is a plus.
- Must pass a background check.
