Dog Groomer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, excellent grooming skills, and the ability to create a positive experience for both pets and their owners.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs of various breeds.
• Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and any observed health concerns.
• Handle animals safely and compassionately, using proper restraint techniques as needed.
• Provide additional services such as ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and de-shedding treatments.
• Stay updated on the latest grooming trends and techniques to provide high-quality service.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of grooming supplies and equipment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in dog grooming is preferred; certification in pet grooming or related fields is a plus.
• Knowledge of animal care practices including basic veterinary procedures is beneficial.
• Skills in animal restraint and handling to ensure safety during grooming sessions.
• Experience in related fields such as veterinary technician work, dog training, or pet sitting is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their pets.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Must have an easy going, drama-free personality, be able to work in a learning/sharing/team environment and have a genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.80 per hour
