Utility Trailer Repair Technician
Responsibilities:
As a Utility Trailer Repair Technician, you will perform entry-level to journey-level work in various skilled trades, focusing on the repair, maintenance, alteration, and construction of utility trailers, specifically food concession trailers. This role involves using your skills in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, sheet metal fabrication, or welding to ensure trailers are in top condition. You will work independently, using good judgment and initiative to determine the best methods and procedures for each job or project.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience in skilled trades.
- Valid Driver's License by hire date.
- An Apprenticeship program completion is a plus.
Essential Functions:
- Communicate job status and instructions with co-workers.
- Safely operate vehicles and equipment, including pickup trucks (with or without trailers) and forklifts.
- Use common hand tools such as a hammer, saw, screwdriver, or similar tools
- Safely use power and hand tools such as table, band and skill saws, routers, belt sanders, drill presses, hydraulic sheet metal shear, welding machines, or other similar-size equipment and specialized tools to complete assigned tasks and projects.
- Perform routine repairs and maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Move objects up to 70 pounds for distances up to 200 feet with assistance.
- Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
- Meet scheduling and attendance requirements.
Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of maintenance and repair methods, tools, and safety precautions.
- Basic math, fractions, radial measurement, and decimal conversion.
- Ability to read engineering prints.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships and recognize safety hazards.
Additional Information:
- Full-time position with opportunities for advancement and paid time off.
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with potential overtime.
