Job Description
As an Employee Communications Intern, you'll support the Best Buy enterprise employee communications team in planning for and executing communications initiatives and other projects to help educate and inform employees throughout the company. This includes working in a fast-paced environment to provide writing, editing, content support and presentation needs for various communication vehicles and meetings. In addition, you'll participate in a summer series that includes our executive speaker events, Excel and PowerPoint workshops, and personal and professional development sessions.
This internship will be available June to August 2025. It is a hybrid role, meaning you must be located within a drivable distance to our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You will be asked to come into the office 3 days per week. This internship does not have the potential to lead to a full-time opportunity. Housing will not be provided.
What you'll do
Provide writing and editing support for internal communications and employee-focused content, including for various written communications vehicles, meetings and events, leadership speaking points and moreBrainstorm, write, edit, and post creative content for various internal communications channelsCollaborate with other team members to recommend an approach for communicating company and campus-wide messages and projectsBasic Qualifications
Pursuing a bachelor's degree or associate degree from an accredited college or university, graduating between fall 2025 and spring 2028Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc., will not be considered)Must be able to work in the Richfield, MN corporate office Tuesday, Wednesday and ThursdayMust be able to work 40 hours a week Monday-Friday between the hours of 8 : 00am-5pmMust be able to commit to the internship start and end date of 6 / 2 / 2025- 8 / 8 / 2025Must be able to commit to being no more than 2 hours driving distance from the Minneapolis Corporate Campus - 7601 Penn Ave South Richfield, MN 55423Preferred Qualifications
Pursuing a bachelor's degree or equivalent in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing, or related fieldThe ability to both work and collaborate well with peers, managers, and business partners; and work independently, identifying opportunities to contribute and take leadDetail oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentSound judgement and decision-making ability
