As an Employee Relations Senior Specialist, you’ll provide centralized employee relations support by advising and conducting workplace investigations. You’ll interview employees and leaders regarding workplace concerns, research employee data, review policies and partner with leaders. You’ll prepare investigation plans, summarize findings, assess priority and manage relationships to effectively process a high volume of cases. You’ll provide coaching and recommendations to employees, leaders and HR partners based on investigations and upon request for in-the-moment guidance.

This role is remote eligible, which means you would work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct all phases of the investigative process for a high volume of employee relations cases, ensuring consistent and fair outcomes for all employees
- Compile facts through interviews, systems research and business data to provide non-legal and workplace recommendation to partners and decision-makers in accordance with company policy
- Compose involuntary separation notices and assist leaders in documenting corrective action related to employee conduct and performance
- Provide guidance to employees and leaders on performance and conduct-related matters
- After investigations, notify appropriate HR leader of concerns with the location’s culture and employee engagement opportunities
- Identify inconsistencies and areas of opportunity between HR policies and business practices and policies; recommend reconciliation to appropriate partners
- 2 years of experience in human resources, employee relations, people leadership, investigation or case management
- Experience demonstrating written and verbal communication skills
- Experience providing a high-level overview of workplace issues, policies implicated, documentation and testimonial evidence gathered, and recommending resolutions
- Previous experience applying employee relations principles and understanding employment laws and their applications
- Ability to incorporate new practices into enterprise change initiatives
