What are the responsibilities and job description for the Geek Squad Delivery Driver position at Best Buy?
As a Geek Squad Delivery Driver, you'll deliver, install, repair and haul away basic complexity appliances, TVs and other tech. You'll determine the best way to deliver major appliances into homes and other locations, including measuring and protecting areas in the installation route.
Key Responsibilities- Attend to delivery duties, including installation, networking and repair of devices with a focus on home theater equipment and appliances
- Provide a seamless client experience by advising on product placement, services and content
- Manage inventory and vehicle maintenance in partnership with team members
- Process paperwork and payment, provide feedback to store teams and complete in-store repairs
- Train new drivers
- Lead and assist on two-person jobs, as well as perform work alone
Basic Qualifications
- 6 months consumer electronics delivery, integration, network or repair experience, or military equivalent
- Current, valid driver's license
- Driving record that meets Best Buy's safety standards
- Able to carry, lift, push and pull weight up to 350 pounds alone or up to 700 pounds as part of a team, with the use of a harness, lift or dolly
- At least 21 years old
- Aquire and maintain state or local licensing, as required, within 90 days of being hired
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership, decision-making, written and verbal communication and client relations skills
- Experience in an in-home installation environment
- Experience using and learning about technology products
