Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Geek Squad Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery, installation, repair, and haul-away of appliances, televisions, and other technology products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery Duties: Attend to delivery duties, including installation, networking, and repair of devices with a focus on home theater equipment and appliances.
- Client Experience: Provide a seamless client experience by offering advice on product placement, services, and other content.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory and vehicle maintenance in partnership with other team members.
- Paperwork and Payment: Process paperwork and payment, provide feedback to store teams, and complete in-store repairs.
- Training: Provide training to new drivers.
- Leadership: Lead and assist on two-person jobs as well as perform work alone.
Requirements:
- Basic Qualifications: 6 months of consumer electronics delivery, integration, network, or repair experience or military equivalent.
- Current License: Current, valid driver's license.
- Driving Record: Have and maintain a driving record that meets Best Buy's safety standards (e.g., minimal number of violations/accidents).
- Lifting Ability: Ability to carry, lift, push, and pull weight up to 350 pounds alone or up to 700 pounds as part of a team, with the use of a harness, lift, or dolly, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Age: Must be at least 21 years old.
- Licensing: Acquire and maintain any state or local licensing, as required, within 90 days of being hired.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Leadership Skills: Leadership, decision-making, written and verbal communication, and client relations skills.
- In-Home Installation Experience: Experience in an in-home installation environment.
- Technology Products Knowledge: Experience using and learning about technology products.
