What are the responsibilities and job description for the Geek Squad Quality Control Technician - Health Devices position at Best Buy?
As a Geek Squad Quality Control Technician for health devices, you’ll perform independent quality control and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures. This may include installing, configuring, troubleshooting and kitting products for multiple vendors. You’ll provide quality control oversight throughout the process of cleaning, disinfecting, testing, kitting and shipping devices for our third-party vendors, and at times, their patients. If you’re able to work with flexibility and adaptability while performing multiple roles in a changing environment, this is the right role for you.

- Perform basic electronics repair with or without support, such as triage, testing functionality, troubleshooting and completing systems updates such as firmware/bios
- Grade parts and technology; identifying and reporting all nonconforming materials, devices and accessories
- Inspect reprocessed devices by cleaning, disinfecting, visually inspecting and functionality testing all devices
- Document all required activities during cleaning, disinfecting, inspection and functionality testing
- Complete and maintain required certifications and wear appropriate equipment in respective workstations
Basic qualifications
- 6 months of experience diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing technology products
- 6 months of experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Able to stand and sit for long periods of time
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds with or without accommodation
- Able to multitask and demonstrate strong attention to detail
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience working in a logistics or similar environment
- 6 months of experience with Best Buy's proprietary systems or other related systems
- 6 months of experience working in a quality management system environment
- Consumer Electronics Manufacture Repair Certification
- Fluent in both English and Spanish
