Job Description
As a Store Experience Construction Management Intern, you would have the opportunity to work with the Construction team. The Construction team implements merchandising, vendor, and capital projects to all Best Buy property locations. The team works from design to final closeout with contractors to deploy scope. You would participate in the construction management process working cross-functionally with consultants / contractors. In addition, you'll participate in a summer series that includes our executive speaker events, Excel and PowerPoint workshops, and personal and professional development sessions.
This internship runs from June to August 2025. It's a hybrid role, meaning you must be located within a drivable distance to our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You'll be asked to come into the office 3 days per week. This internship does not have the potential to lead to a full-time opportunity. Housing will not be provided.
What you'll do
- Read and redline construction documents
- Communicate with consultants and contractors
- Support administrative tasks during the process of a project including contracts, change orders, RFIs (request for information) and submittals
- Participate in the day-to-day process of working on construction projects including communication, status reporting and issue resolution
- Use tools such as Bluebeam, Microsoft SharePoint, and Projectmates
- Track projects and report financial reviews and forecasting as needed
