Cleaning/Sanitizing, Maintenance and Equipment Repair Apprentice
- Clean, sanitize restrooms and kitchen area; restock disposables
- Clean dust and wipe furniture. Mop or vacuum floors; empty /clean wastebaskets and trash containers; replace light bulbs.
- Perform cleaning and related activities such as removing snow or debris from sidewalks and parking lots. Keep yard and gardens clean, cut and presentable.
- Wash accessible interior and exterior windows and doors as requested.
- Wash walls and equipment; use ladders when required in work assignments
- Light machinery maintenance as requested by supervisor.
- Lock and unlock building; secure building when facilities are not in use checking for unlocked doors and windows turn off lights.
- Move furniture, equipment, and supplies on an incidental basis.
- Any additional task assigned by management.
- The Equipment Repair Apprentice is responsible for assisting with the maintenance and repair of equipment in a manufacturing or industrial setting. The apprentice will work under the supervision of a journey-level equipment repair technician and will learn the skills necessary to become a fully qualified equipment repair technician.
Responsibilities:
- Assist journey-level equipment repair technicians with the maintenance and repair of equipment
- Learn about the different types of equipment used in the manufacturing or industrial setting
- Identify and diagnose equipment problems
- Repair or replace damaged or worn equipment parts
- Test and calibrate equipment to ensure it is functioning properly
- Keep accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations
Safety:
- Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
- Intervene in unsafe activities or operations
- Advise on provisions to minimize safety risks
- Perform monthly safety inspections in accordance to Best Companies procedures
- Keep records of safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions
- Use limble to track and submit work requests in relation to maintenance and repairs
