Founded in 1990, Diamonex® (a division of BEST Engineered Surface Technologies) has a 26,000-square-foot facility in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Diamonex® provides unique coating solutions to improve performance and extend component life in diverse industries and challenging operating environments. With over 46 patents generated by our R&D team, our goal is to continually enhance the quality and service we provide our customers.
Diamonex® has been developing diamond-like carbon (DLC) and polycrystalline diamond coating (CVD) technologies since 1990 utilizing Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PECVD). In addition to coatings, Diamonex® has developed unique ion source technology designed specifically for the deposition of high-quality DLC and DLC-like nanocomposite films. Our radio frequency (RF) DLC process delivers uniform conformal coatings on complex geometries, while our ion-beam technology provides high-quality coatings more suitable for line-of-sight process geometries.
Become a part of a hi-tech team, supporting the medical, aerospace, and semiconductor industries. We are looking for an Operator/Technician to add to our growing team. This role is to provide production and technical services on an as-needed basis based on business circumstances. This person shall be able to run, maintain, and troubleshoot various pieces of process and analysis equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate critical processing equipment such as vacuum coating systems and their associated support equipment
- Run experiments and collect data based on written work instructions
- Debug and offer ideas for processes, assembly instructions, fixtures, and testing
- Maintain and organize data and documents for processes and testing results
- Perform validation and verification tests per appropriate instructions including but not limited to the first article inspections, pilot run inspections, and functional tests
- Complete appropriate database transactions to adequately document production activity
- Run various pieces of equipment used for coating characterization and failure analysis
- Perform documented tests, inspections, and quality checks on products as specified
- Track, mark, and identify products as they make their way through the coating processes
- Maintenance and upkeep of work environment, including light preventative maintenance of coating chambers and associated equipment
- All other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office productions
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Residency is required due to ITAR regulations
- The ability to communicate on a technical and professional level
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- The ability to conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations
- The ability to work with a diverse culture to help ways to improve processes, quality, and safety
