Constructed in 2010, our spacious new facility in Bristol, RI offers clear and colored anodizing, hard coat anodizing, conversion coating, precision cleaning, engineered coatings including PTFE, plastic bead blasting, sandblasting, pad printing, labeling, packaging, and light assembly. Our state-of-the-art facility and equipment enable us to meet the most diversified applications with ease and in the volumes necessary for any medical device OEM.

Responsibilities:
- Ensuring products and services conform to customer requirements.
- Reviewing product and service conformity (i.e., yield analysis) and identifying the cost of poor quality
- Implementing and analyzing statistical process controls to ensure process conformity and identifying opportunities for the reduction of process variation through data analysis techniques
- Acting as the management representative tasked with holding management reviews, quality objective (KPI) reporting, and other tasks as necessary to ensure compliance with the international standard
- Maintaining documentation, inclusive of training records, and performing internal audits ensuring quality management system compliance to the AS9100 standard
- Review and approve procedures, documents, and policies that impact product quality
- Manage the control of controlled documentation throughout the organization
- Review purchase orders to ensure customer quality expectations are met. Prior experience with DoD contracts, MIL specifications, FARs, and DFARs is a plus.
- Performing root cause analysis to implement effective corrective action
- Act as a liaison with customers to address customer complaints and report root cause analysis on defects
- Host customer and/or regulatory audits and perform supplier quality audits, as necessary
- Interface with suppliers to qualify new products and improve received product quality
- Ensuring issued CAPAs for the Quality Systems group is completed and implemented in a timely manner or as directed
- Performing product quality audits and inspections and responsible for signing Certificates of Conformance
- Supporting production groups in troubleshooting process issues when required.
- Implementing change or process improvements using Lean Manufacturing principles such as kaizen, KANBAN, and SMED
- Lead failure analysis efforts to determine the root cause of returned customer parts or internal process deviations
- Designing, developing, and maintaining quality control training programs
- All other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2 or 4-year degree in a technical field (engineering, science, mathematics)
- 3 years’ experience in a quality-related role with responsibilities associated with a quality management system certified to ISO 9001 (AS9100 preferred)
- Experience in metrology methods using microscopy and other techniques for micron-size measurements
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools, extensive use of Excel, and statistical software, Minitab (preferred)
- Experience in root cause / corrective action methods (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, etc.)
- Experience with principles including training and implementation
- Knowledge and analysis of statistical process controls
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles, Green Belt or Black Belt (preferred)
- The ability to work with a diverse culture to help ways to improve processes, quality, and safety
