- Inventory Management: Implement and oversee continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy, reduce lead times, and optimize cost control practices
- Utilize forecasting and inventory tracking systems to ensure accurate and optimal parts stocking levels while avoiding overstock, obsolescence or shortage
- Parts Ordering: Oversee and manage the ordering of parts from suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and utilization of negotiated parts discounts and free freight associated with stock orders
- Inventory Maintenance: Ensure timely cycle counts for all inventory and continuously improve processes to eliminate slippage
- Supplier Relationships: Cultivate strategic supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing, timely deliveries and consistently high-quality parts.
- Customer Service: Collaborate closely with the service department to ensure rapid parts availability, minimizing downtime and utilize tools to ensure timely communications
- Reporting: Generate reports on parts usage, turnover, fill rate, stock freight usage and associated expenses in order to support local branch management decision-making
- Staff Supervision: Mentor parts department staff providing training and guidance on all aspects of the position and including customer service
- Compliance: Ensure all parts departments are organized, clean and managed in compliance with dealership policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in parts management, preferably in an automotive, heavy equipment, or municipal equipment dealership
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of parts inventory systems, automotive or heavy equipment parts, and supply chain management. Familiarity with municipal equipment such as garbage trucks, street sweepers, and hydro excavation is highly desirable.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or certifications in a related field (e.g., automotive or equipment management) preferred
- Full-time position with standard dealership hours (M-F, between the hours of 7am to 5pm), including occasional overtime during peak seasons or special projects
- Occasional travel may be required for branch visits, supplier meetings, or industry events
