Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Internal Product Trainer to provide comprehensive product training for new hires, deliver ongoing education for active employees, and lead our Best Internal Technical Training (ITT) Program. As an Internal Product Trainer, you will play a key role in shaping the skills and expertise of our Service Technicians, ensuring they deliver the highest level of service to our valued customers. This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager and works closely with the Senior Customer Trainer.
Responsibilities:
- New Hire Product Training: Deliver detailed product training for new hires and existing employees as needed. This may include equipment overviews, technical training, and operational instruction.
- Lead Best ITT Program:
- Training Program Development: Work with management to design and continuously improve the Best ITT Program curriculum. Ensure the program aligns with company goals and industry standards.
- Schedule & Communication: Plan and communicate training schedules to new Service Technicians and their Service Managers.
- Mentorship: Foster a welcoming, supportive environment for new hires. Provide ongoing mentorship to ensure their success in their roles.
- Competency Assessments: Develop assessments (e.g., completion tests) to measure the competency of Service Technicians upon completion of the program.
- Ongoing Employee Product Training:
- Collaborate with the Marketing Department to create educational resources for staff, ensuring continuous product and technical knowledge growth.
- OEM Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with OEMs to stay updated on technical information and product advancements. Share these updates with the team to enhance knowledge.
- Safety:
- Prioritize safety in all training sessions and discussions. Cultivate a strong safety culture at Best Equipment by leading health and safety training initiatives for staff.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate training records for all trainees and ensure proper filing and organization.
- Travel Requirements:
- Travel to branches, customer sites, and career fairs as needed for on-site training and knowledge transfer, with an estimated 1-2 weeks of travel per month.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in technical training and mentorship, particularly in specialized equipment maintenance and repair.
- Expertise in creating and maintaining technical training materials, including multimedia and hands-on resources, for technicians and parts associates.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
