This job is mainly outdoors and can be physically demanding. Animal care is a 365 day a year commitment-rain or shine! Please take this into consideration when considering this role. Have concerns? Lets set something up and we can discuss it further.
Pack Leader Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Monitor and engage with dogs in playgroups to maintain a safe and fun environment
- Caring for the dogs as if they were your own by proactively providing a safe and clean environment
- Upholding high standards of cleanliness. Including cleaning up after dogs and picking up/removing pet waste promptly
- Feed, Water, and Administer medication to dogs
- Perform general housekeeping duties assigned. Including but not limited to dishes, laundry, taking out trash, sweeping, mopping..etc
- This can be a physically and mentally demanding job-must be able to stand and move around for long periods of time, lift over 50 lbs, and have no job restrictions
Pack Leader Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years
- Dog Handling experience(in a professional setting not including pets) is a plus
- This is an entry level role and we are open to applicants of many backgrounds such as: labor, retail, restaurant, daycare, hospitality...etc
- MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS, NIGHTS AND HOLIDAYS.
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to learn and/or demonstrate understanding of dog behavior and body language.
- Must possess excellent communication & leadership skills and be comfortable with both pets and people
- Must have a great attitude while being detail oriented, trustworthy, punctual, and responsible.
